What Should I Expect During My First Physiotherapy Visit?
During your initial 45-minute visit, your Registered Physiotherapist will perform a broad and evidence-based Neuro-musculoskeletal Assessment of your condition. Using a full range of traditional and advanced modalities, your Physiotherapist will provide you with an individualized treatment plan that addresses your pain and discomfort as well as the root cause of your condition. Your physiotherapist will begin treatment at your first Ace Physio therapy session.
At Ace Physio our personalized approach to physiotherapy means that we will spend the time and take the care to ensure we meet your recovery goals effectively and efficiently. Our aim is to make your road to recovery as effective and short-termed as possible so that you can get you back to your optimal well-being.
What Types of Treatments Are Available? And Who Administers The Treatment?
Only Ace Physio’s Registered Physiotherapists provide your treatment in one-on-one sessions. We do not use assistants or aids. All of our physiotherapists are trained in a variety of methods and modalities that will reduce your pain while improving your mobility and functionality.
How Does Physiotherapy Help?
If you are experiencing pain or if you’ve been injured in a fall or motor vehicle accident or dealing with a chronic condition, physiotherapy helps reduce or eliminate pain. A physiotherapist will also work with you to restore any loss of mobility and functionality while strengthening the injured or affected area.
Registered Physiotherapists at Ace Physio are experts on how the human body is designed to move and function. The human body is a finely-tuned, state-of-the-art bio-mechanism that has an amazing capacity to function, endure, and achieve. If your bio-mechanics are functioning correctly then your body is working efficiently and there is a reduced risk of injury.
Poor bio-mechanics cause pain and are typically the result of static or anatomical abnormalities such as leg length disparity that cannot be changed but can be compensated for; and functional or secondary abnormalities resulting from injury or the wear and tear of poor technique.
The human body has built-in recovery mechanisms to allow it to adapt to changing conditions and to recover from injury. Using our wide range of traditional and technological modalities, your Physiotherapist will unlock your body’s natural healing powers to enhance your recovery and work with you to correct technique and strengthen your body to prevent further damage or a recurrence of the injury.
