A graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, specialization in Kinesiology and Health Science, Lauren completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, finishing second in her class.
Her interest in Physiotherapy originated with her own involvement in competitive sport. During her time at the University of British Columbia, she competed as a lightweight rower for the women’s varsity rowing team. Her struggle with injuries made clear the importance of determination and adherence to a strict rehabilitation program and inspired her to pursue a career in Physiotherapy.
Lauren emphasizes a holistic approach to rehabilitation and her love of sports continues to inform her career. With her extensive knowledge of biomechanics, orthopaedics and manual therapy she also has a strong background in exercise physiology, training principles and sports psychology. With a special interest in working with endurance athletes, Lauren is continuing to pursue her credentials to become a certified Sports Physiotherapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
